November-2011: The Orient Explorer has acquired two small 3D surveys in the Makassar Strait for Serica Energy. The surveys were located in heavily fished areas with many rumpons and also high maritime traffic. Good coordination between the vessel, scout vessels and shore support proved successful in executing the program with just 2.5% standby time attributed to fishing traffic. A total of just 3% technical downtime occurred proving once again that the Orient Explorer and her crew retain high performance standards. The data from both blocks underwent fast-track processing onboard and the migrated full offset 3D cubes were delivered soon after acquisition.
